What is Albert AI?
Albert AI is An app for Slack that let's you use OpenAI's
ChatGPT directly from within your Slack workspace. Albert
maintains every conversation in a separate thread for you to
return and continue where you left off.
How much does the app cost?
Right now, Albert AI is a free tool for everyone to use. You
are responsible for your OpenAI own fees though!
Do you store/log the message content?
No, we don't. The messages are neither stored nor logged. The
conversation is passed through our servers, and then sent to
Open AI's API.
Why do you need my OpenAI Key?
We need your OpenAI key so that we do not incur any costs for
the usage of OpenAI's ChatGPT. Albert AI is a ChatGPT wrapper
that allows you to use AI from within Slack. Because we're not
charging a monthly fee, every user is responsible for his/her
AI usage cost.
Can I limit how much the app can spend?
Yes! In fact, we encourage you to set a spending limit on your
OpenAI API key. This will limit max spending and also protect
you against fraud should your API key ever leak into the
public. Please visit

to configure your own account limits.
Is my API key being shared?
No, your API key is only used for AI usage within your Slack
workspace.
How can I delete my API key from your platform?
Simply uninstall the app from your workspace and all the data
(including the API key) will be deleted. Additionally, we
recommend that you revoke the API key from your OpenAI
dashboard.
